Digi Remote Manager

At the heart of Digi SAFE™ is Digi Remote Manager®, the command center of your intelligent public safety network. Digi Remote Manager enables IT teams to monitor, manage and update devices in the field remotely. It facilitates the rapid configuration and deployment of cellular routers, and ensures they always have critical security and firmware updates.

Digi TX Routers

Digi TX cellular routers are purpose-built for the challenging conditions encountered by public safety professionals in the field, with integrated device security, as well as Wi-Fi 6, serial, USB, dual SIMs and more for maximum integration flexibility. These rugged devices have IP64-rated hardened enclosures and are temperature rated for -34 °C to 70 °C to handle vibration and temperature extremes.

Locational Awareness

Situational awareness includes locational awareness — knowing exactly where a public safety vehicle is at all times. Digi TX routers include latest-generation GNSS dead reckoning technology, which provides more accurate location information than is possible with standard GPS. This capability, known as “untethered dead reckoning” (UDR), is especially useful when vehicles are traveling through tunnels or urban canyons, or beneath an overpass, any of which can block the GPS signal.

Connectivity in Large-Scale Emergencies

Civilian cell phone usage during a largescale public emergency can jam cellular networks. In response, wireless carriers developed networks to deliver priority, pre-emptive communications for first responders during such emergencies. FIPS 140-2 Validation

Digi cellular routers based on the Digi Accelerated Linux operating system (DAL OS) meet strict Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 (FIPS 140-2) requirements for cryptographic modules. This validation by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) ensures communications and data handled by these devices are fully encrypted to prevent data theft and cyberthreats. Digi Remote Manager enables FIPS 140-2 with a simple software update.

CJIS-compliant Mobile VPN

Digi Mobile VPN is a value-added service developed in collaboration with Radio IP, a leader in mobile solutions with decades of experience in secure communications. This service empowers agencies to establish a persistent, robust, and secure connection between their data centers via the Digi router in a mobile environment, encompassing all connected edge devices, whether wired or wireless, and it complies with the standards set by the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) division.
